The Tiro Cup - Chicago Indoor Rowing Competition

Named after the latin word for new soldier or recruit, this cup aims at bringing our city's novices together in competition.

First Cup of Its Kind

Novice* squads across the Greater Chicago Area.

The traveling cup is awarded to the top relay team that is represented by both novice girls and novice boys. To be eligible for the trophy each team must have at least 2 girls and 2 boys compete, but ALL competitors will be allowed to race and have scores recorded.

Each team must present their final squad list with projected ERG scores one week prior to the event. All competitors will then be seeded and the individual race will cover 2,000M. The cup will be awarded to the fastest team over a 1,000M race where each eligible team will field a quad of two girls and two boys (picked by their respective coach).
